HI Suppose if my keyword is custom built computers so how it will be used in the meta keyword : Custom built computers OR Custom, built, computers And which one most valuable to Google ? Thanks
OK....... but if someone have 20 something targeted keywords like : build your own pc custom built pc custom built pcs custom built computers buy computer in uk buy computer uk Etc so would it be used all as same OR any changes may be good....if it used like : custom, computers , build, PC, UK etc thanks
You could do: pc, custom, computers, custom built computers, built, build, and to google, keyword tag is irrelivant, google doesnt take this tag into account but other search engines do.
You are wrong. Google takes this into consideration, but gives more importance to content. Less importance doesn't mean they don't care about it.
the longer chain keywords are better because they are most likely not as popular in other sites. words like pc, custom, computers might come up on millions of sites while pc custom computers as one tag would appear on much fewer, giving you a better chance at ranking up on that keyword.
Hi procrastinator So what is your opinion about the meta keyword, Does it should be putted word by word OR a whole keywords ? as i have detailed in above post ....like custom built PC, custom PC, gaming PC Does it should be used as : custom, PC, gaming, built OR the same as custom built PC, custom PC, gaming PC ? thankssssss
You should use whole keywords like <meta name="keywords" content="build your own pc,custom built pc,custom built pcs, custom built computers, buy computer in uk,buy computer uk, etc..">
(1) content (2) in bound link (anchor) (3) h1 & h2 tags (attributes) (4) meta tags (5) html on site (6) w3c validation ....(7) updated regulary (8) etc Great example ... and maybe a typo like computor also according to http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en computer 3,340,000,000 results computers 3,810,000,00 just start typing in the word and check the results
Oh! Thanks Let me to change now ....But if i remove the old one keyword that i have used word by word, any influence may be occurred in SERP ? Thanks
Why not? This is niche building. Less competition and a lot of searches made for this misspelled keyword. Instead if trying to target a keyword that has 800.000.000 results on google (ex: computer) why not target for 500.000 results (ex: computor) which has a reasonable number of searches/day , and make it easily top place.
Just write the metas in the manner that you cover all the cover into it and users can read it... title and metas must be attractive and must be good in reading.... so do something like that
Please any opinion about the above Prob.....i have to change my keyword very soon..... any suggestion may be appreciated
I am waiting for anyone help......pls suggest me, if i change my keywords ( my keywords is now word by word, want to convert it to the "whole" as detailed above ) any influence may be come in SERP ? thanksssssss
Hey jamie01 by adding those meta tags that were suggested, it would help search engines defines your site better when they index it.. which means when they crawl (index) your site, the search engine know what "keywords" to list your site under...it shouldn't hurt your SERP, it might help improve it! Hopefully you realize that there are more things to do to increase your site SER (search engine ranking) such as (1) regulary updated content (2) in- bound link (anchor) (3) h1 & h2 tags (attributes) (4) meta tags (5) html on site (6) w3c validation ....(7) how you market your site etc (the order can be debated but this is the main things to help SER! Also any changes won't take effect till the next time you sight get indexed! So that can be anywhere from a few hours to a couple of months (this basically depends on the inbound links that you have) Maybe if you copied and pasted your new coding in this thread..the members could be of more help!
No im sorry but you are wrong, Google does not take the meta keywords tag into consideration....that tag is ignored by google. There are many places this is published, such as google itself. Also here is a good explanation. The keywords will not effect your ranking in google and will have no impact. Google take the keywords from your sites content, title, and description, NOT the keywords.
Even though I haven't read anything officially from Google (even Matt Cutts) it is a strong belief among SEO/SEM experts...Things is you shouldn't base your search engine traffic on One search engine, (what if you site gets banned)..I believe that you should optimize for the 3 big one Google, Yahoo and MSN (live?)...there are a lot of sites that get the majority of their traffic from search engines other than Google! kinda of like it sports..people do root for the underdog..
