Hi, How url architecture is more search engine friendly? Please Help For example For targeting a keyword "Search Engine Optimization" Which below url architecture is more search engine friendly 1. http://www.domain.com/searchengineoptimization.html 2. http://www.domain.com/search-engine-optimization.html 3. http://www.domain.com/search_engine_optimization.html 4. http://www.domain.com/searchengine/optimization.html 5. http://www.domain.com/search/engine/optimization.html Using Underscore or dash between the keyword is good for search engine? Please Help?
if ur domain name contains ur keyword then it is always an added advantage for SEO as ur domain name holds significant weightage in the eyes of all the search engines... As far as underscore, hypen or dash goes i feel using of none works better than using them.. by otherwise if u still want 2 use them then use a "|" (just above ur enter key), in the title tag for better results. Otherwise I feel it is underscore than scores better for the URL. But as far I think till today even majorly all the search engines go for the Title as well as the traffic and quality backlinks for the same... Cheers, Kailyn Morgan
Some search engines may display the space characters on #3 to %20 (html equivalent), and will look hard to read in search results. Hard to read -> Less clicks. Examples #1, #2, #4, #5 don't have this problem.
didn't catch what you are saying. even if it shows a %20, it will be in the url, correct? if so, who reads url's?
Depending on the size of the site and how it makes SENSE to layout use; domain.com/section-name/category-name/page-name.html
