I have played with adsense for abt 15 months now, and have tried to understand the reasons for an adsense account to be terminated... Most people feel having a higher CTR increases increases your chances of getting your account banned, This is not true if your traffic is geniene andis not from banned sources.. I have had times when I have had a Page CTR of over 15% ... A note on "Unique" Visits for people running news letter sites... Even though google checks for 24 hr unique clicks, they also run a montly check on recurring clicks from the single ip.. A friend of mine had his adsense disabled for sending newsletter every week. This mainly happend because of repeated clicks from the same ip withing a month... Self SEO (http://www.selfseo.com/) recently got disabled for the same. Self SEO was a happening website with thousands of hits everyday, above all it was also listed in google news for computer related search results. All that I have to say is be a little careful while dealing with news letters.. Other reasons for a site to be terminated are, Click your own ads, Generating artificial impressions -- Anusha
Nice post bud, it does scare me though that if one of my forum users decides to click on the ads a couple of times a month my site should be terminated... its not like im telling him to right?
Now that statement worries me.What about the sites that are edited online ie.CMS. Another thought is the online sitemap generators...they must create artificial impressions. Has anyone got thoughts on this?
I don't understand how sending out a newsletter got anyone banned. Feel free to elaborate. Why does sending out a newsletter create clicks from the same ip? You can not include adsense in e-mails.
