How Twitter helps to increase traffic? I mean targetted traffic. How people make $ form there? By pay per click? Any help?

To get twitter traffic, befriend people who's talking about the same stuff you are. Follow people according to keywords.
i have read that you can make money from people clicking on tweets that are ads. so if you have thousands of followers you can get paid for the clicks. the site is revtwt.com.
I never see,twitter information and PPC stuff,they dont move on that track and they sell something like adsense or adwords here,most advertising happen with twitter is not coming from twitter,mostly it come from people who love twitter and using for there marketing,
Twitter is just like any other social media site out there. This is just a way to get your name out there and become connected with your market, and your competition. It is good to be friends with your competition by the way, because these are the people who are going to help you become successful.
OK, Let say you are following 100 peoples, they each make a short comment per day, you will be expecting 100 messages per day, do you really read it? how many can you read it? will that really generate targetted traffic? confuse..
You are true in your statment that your tweets may not be read, but some things you can capitolize on are things such as... Putting your website on your profile, Sending DMs to people, and sending @ replies to people.
