I saw some major websites companies (take for example namecheap.com) giving some offers for the twitter followers - to increase the number of followers. Is it effective for link building???
Nope, all links on Twitter are no follow. However, if you throw out some link bait, others may link to it by blogging about it. That was the case with the Namecheap contest. I seen it blogged about and posted all over. Just posting is Twitter though does nothing for link building. It could possibly increase your exposure but I have not seen much results yet.
twitter is not for link building but for networking. more followers you have, more exposure you will get on your updates
Twitter can be used effectively for what namecheap is using it for. It's another way to drive traffic like rss, newsletters etc. There is an article floating around about how Dell harnesses the power of Twitter to get the word out to subscribers about special deals etc.
Twitter is for traffic and they are nofollow links. But there are many websites list your tweets if it has been tweeted a lot. SOmtime you may get a dofollow link from them if you are lucky.
i will go away from twitter if talking about building link but if about traffic, i am the guru of it as i could drive thousands of traffic everyday to my site and earn a handsome profit.
Yes it is effective for link building. Twitter page PR is important. (twitter.com/username) Reminder: All links on Twitter are nofollow.
Don't doubt that, twitter can help link development! All u need to do is updating tweets now and then. And find many followers... Y not have a try~
