    As I know facebook and twitter links are nofollow. Only you might get higher traffic I think

    Google seems to consider link popularity in social sites. Other than that Google provides results from social sites in their search. For example if you search a term in Google, you may see related video in youtube.

    I get a lot of traffic/sales from Twitter (I have 40,000+ followers). But for SEO purposes, I'm not sure it will get you much results.
