Most people use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. This software is very expensive...like $650. Mmhmm. However, if you know how to acquire this software free...it helps. I cannot divulge this information as it is illegal.

If you do get the software...do a simple Google search for tutorials...like "Photoshop tutorials" or "Illustrator tutorials". Go through the steps of any tutorials that interest you. This will help you learn the software which can be intimidating without instruction. If you have money, you can buy books on this software at any bookseller like Barnes and Noble or Borders. These books are extremely helpful.

If you need to go the absolutely free and legal route....Google "GIMP"...this is a program like Photoshop that is free to use. Search for tutorials in the same manner as above. Inkscape is the free equivalent to Illustrator.

While you are researching, make sure you understand the difference between vector and raster graphics. Photoshop and GIMP are raster graphic programs while Illustrator and Inkscape are vector graphic programs. I'm sure that it all sounds intimidating, but if you are a quick learner, you will have no problem at all.

PM me if you have questions, and I will try to clarify anything that you need. I hope this helps....I wish you the best of luck. You can make money here in design. :D
