Hey i made a social networking site (www.atlchillspot.com) which appeals to the state of Georgia. It has been running for a week and has a little over 20 members so far. But i was wondering what is the best way to get traffic, sign ups, etc for this sort of site.
Try other social bookmarking sites, ask for a review in the Reviews section, buy advertising spots and avatars of course. Try reading this guide for additional help.
Well I think if you're targeting Georgia it might be best to buy advertising on Georgia related sites (say sport club's websites, tourist destinations etc.). There'd be no point in advertising on sites where only a very small percentage of that site's visitors would be from Georgia.
Since your site is specific to Georgia, you'll need to do some local advertising.. you can either buy targeted ads or try the offline market (which is more tough and requires more money).
