start taking English classes, contact a nearby English teacher and ask him to guide you in written English. "How to write an good content" ... "How to write good content" ... "How to write a good article" :)

start a personal blog and start writing what you want to. Read more than you write. to start with, start reading the Copywriting forum and try to follow some of the blogs of the good copywriters here, that will help.

There is a great ezine article on how to write good content. The article puts forth a template around alleviating your customers' pain points. The template hinges are two important questions:

    1. What are some PAIN points that your ideal customers experience?
    2. What are some STRENGTHS/BENEFITS your company delivers to remove or prevent those pain points?

The article uses a clever medicine metaphor to deliver its point. I think it's a helpful article delivering some training in a unique and memorable way.

You can find the article here - http://blog.ezinearticles.com/2009/06/pain-points-article-template.html#more-1445

    Value.

If articles are going to be your main bag, then focus on providing value. As it's been mentioned before, get an idea of what your readers are looking for, but above all, shoot for providing value. But I also think you should try to find a unique angle when deciding how exactly to provide value. What makes your content different than others?

You probably have it easier-your content probably revolves around giving info. Me, I write humor. But the value I provide is entertainment-people let me know when they really like what I've written. So I aim for quality because of that.

If you don't have time to provide value, then at least outsource the job to a good writer who can. But value is what people want.

'How to write good content?' is a very broad question.

Most of the replies have some very valid points.
    1. Format of content changes depending on what the content is for. (ie You, Your is the focus for sales content)
    2. Have no Fear - I agree write, write and write then go back with the editing and polishing up
    3. Research - if you are writing about something new then heaps of research is a must.
    4. Original work - this one goes without saying
    5. Enjoy the writing experience

There are no set rules except for the standards of grammar and punctuation etc. These also vary depending on which English language applies to your content. ie UK or US English. I am in Australia, so any content for my hometown market is under the UK English.

Hope this has been of some help.

This was taught to us also when i was in college, when
we were having our thesis project. Avoid using first person, its not a good way to write professional article.

    Wow... ~Kev~

Seriously.... you obviously haven't read books or articles written in the first person perspective. You certainly lack the understanding that some writers experience when writing in that mode. Articles, content and sales letters are great to write in first person perspective as well. I guess it comes down to experience. Did you know one of the world's best selling fiction (more for teens)... the famous Twilight is written in first person perspective. Not to mention Anne Rice likes writing in first person perspective. So I will have to disagree. The word 'I' is a very powerful word that refers to only one thing- me as an individual and a being in this vast universe. No other creature can compare to the word 'I'!

First and foremost you have to make a content that
is original and make sure good quality content.
Make it simple so that the readers would understand it.
Avoid using vague ideas be specific to the terms.
Actually there are so many tips you could see in the Internet if you would only searched for it.

Besides the essay style article above, you must write what you mean, and mean what you write. Consistency, acknowledging sources, and be natural. There's nothing more good than an article with ideas that comes from your own self (if, of course, you're writing a blog and expressing your views about any topic you choose).
The same goes when writing for a certain audience.

In order to write good content, you need to be able to research well.

Make sure you only use reputable sites for your research. Don't just take an article from ezine and rewrite it. That's how you write BAD content.

If you research your subject/niche well enough, the article will write its self.

Last but not least, please don't give out any bad advice in your articles. Real people read your content and they may act upon your words.

    I hope this helps. :)

Not necessarily. The OP is asking how he can write good (web) content and the structure this person suggested is suitable for college essay writing by his own admission.

Now that's a practical approach and a real good suggestion. Nobody was so upright in picking points in the OP and still be so accurate.

How to write an article with good content? It's really rather simple:

    1. A good command of the English language
    2. Writing experience
    3. Research, research, research
    4. Editing, editing editing

Being a writer is being a wordsmith. It is a craft. You have to practice it, develop it, hone it. It does not come overnight. There is no instant recipe or quick fix for writing good content.
