How to write a killer headline that drives more trafic in your site or blog?

Wether you are writing and advertisement or an article, choosing the right words is crucial if you want people to read it. The best headline must do three things: It identifies the right target market, it provides benefits and finally it generates enough interest to get them read. Now, let us look at each one of them.

Identifies the right target market: This is very important. When you choose your words, make sure it immediately speaks to your target market or your audience. Look at these two headlines:“How to loose weight? “And “Attention: Ladies over 40, here is how you can loose 10 pounds per week ”. Which one you think will get more attention? You may be more attracted and click the second headline than the first one.

Provide benefits: You have to give your readers good reasons to read further. Ask yourself, what is going to make people read your ad or your article? What is the main benefit that someone will get from reading your article? This benefit must show up in the headline. Mr Bradly J,Sugars, author of the book “instant lead” gave this headline's example: “Men :How you can have twice as much sex as you’re having now-guaranteed”. If you are a man, they are very good chance that you will read this article!. Compare these two headlines. “How you can make money online?” and “How you can make an extra $5000 online this year and pay out your debts?”The second one make more sense.

Generate Interest: make sure you put some curiosity in your headline. People like to discover the hidden agenda. Example: “How you can double your sales within a month by following these three steps?”
