You are making two very serious mistakes if your goal is to be a professional web developer. EASY? big mistake. If all you want to do is find easy to use crap tools then you will never be anything more than a hobbyist producing at the best, boring mediocre sites and at worse just one of the many thousands of garbage sources spewing out trash and inflicting idiotic presentations on internet users. YOU DON'T KNOW HTML. Then you have zero chance of ever producing a page worth viewing. HTML is the underlying structure of web pages. Before you even think about building a web site you need to have a detail knowledge of HTML including the standards. You also need a working knowledge of CSS, javascript and at least one server side scripting language. As you progress you will also need to understand databases, web graphics, and the general relationship of the server that runs your site. I suggest you start by googling HTML tutorials to start the learning process instead of wasting time on nonsense that teach you nothing, and prevent you from actually doing anything productive.
Dear COBOLdinosaur, Many many thanks for your kind reply and more thanks for the straight forward true. Well i didn't said any thing I just want to make a web site of any thing and money will start poring into my hands, no i know this can not happen coz i've been reading about this money making stuff since very long, and did try to learn HTML online but coz lack of practice i keep forgetting it coz i'm also doing a job. So I don't know HTML but i'll learn quickly as i'll be doing it practically, and I am willing to learn any thing which is use full. I am learning HTML as i'm making a blog in blogger so i when every i need to edit a template i use help from google and start learning. and if guys like your self could guide me i know i'll me on the road in no time. One more thing can i use software in start like dreamwaver and front page etc, those can help also, what you say?
Dreamwaver is one of the best , i have worked on.. great in HTml and CSS formatting.. But if you want to learn HTML and CSS start it with notepad. Formating tools makes you lazy and makes you to forget the tags
If you want to learn the skills you need you need exactly 2 tools to start. A text editor, and a browser. Everything else that makes things easy; gives shortcuts, and uses canned code will: Not teach you anything about how the web and webpages work. Teach bad habits that will prevent you from ever being more than mediocre. Limit what you can do by locking you inside the box defined by the limits of the tool. Tools, frameworks, templates, plugins, and all such crap force you to view everything through multiple layers of abstraction. You cannot learn how thing actually work because the tool does not allow you to see what is actually happening, so when you reach the point where you need to do something outside the limits of the tool you have no idea of what you must do. Developer tools are for three groups: Hobbyist who are doing it for fun or the family. Wannabe developers too lazy to do the work necessary to learn. Professional developers who have learn the basic and are able to use tools efficiently without getting hung up by the limitations, because they know how to extend the tool. The other thing is you cannot possible evaluate the junk offered on the net to find the 10% that are actually worth something is you do not know the basic, and so you waste your time going into quicksand because some highly touted piece of crap does not work right and there is zero support from the vendor.
Thanks Buddy, you are very right, and i've started learning HTML online, and hope i'll inform you about in 10 or 15 days that how much i've progressed.
One of the advantages of learning the basics is that you start to understand what questions to ask, and you can understand and implement the answers. It actually gets easier as you learn.
You need to study the language first. Start with HTML, then CSS and so on. Dont think there is an easy way to become a good developer and to create a good website. If you start from scratch, then you learn from the start. There are many websites offering tutorials. Install a software for you to test your skills and knowledge learned. Also, use WordPress it is much of a greater platform to use.
