    I currently have a site with 200+ pages.
    Is there a php script where you can work from a database. So all the text from a page is stored in a mysql database?

    I think you need the content management forum, this software will do what you want.

    Something like Mambo or Joomla could be OK but not used them myself.

    I have looked at Mambo and Joombla, but for recoding my site for Mambo or Joomla is something I cannot do :(

    What is your url?

    I am sure somebody will be able to suggest the best cms. Alternatively you could ask somebody to write one for you.

    I have posted on serveral huge forums, including WHT and joomla itself where I am looking for coders. Its a payed job, but so far (6 hours laters) only one person has replyed :(

    you should be able to use some offline tools to transfer the content from old tables to new tables... search for php code gneerators.. they come with database browse and other tools... but the software is not free though but comes with 30 day eval copy.
