The most trusted ecurrency exchange sites in the history are listed on egolds directory site. Many of them are now even out of business due to e-gold blocking accounts of users for no reason. Still: londongoldexchange.com or skandway.com Would be the best. The first one has high fee. The second one is from sweden, but one of the best and cheapest. I am not sure what the best way is currently. In the past I always used thebullionexchange.com with great success, but when egold was under investigation they stopped doing exchanges, as did many other companies. I haven't used egold in awhile so I don't know right off hand if they are back in business, but if they are, they are very trustworthy. Definitely use one that is well established and has been around for awhile. I would never trust one that is new. Good luck with whichever one you choose.
The only option probably would be to find someone you know personally who needs e-gold and just do the exchange with him or her. e-gold is not a readily convertible virtual currency and they do not offer that function.
