Hi, me and my business partner we both live in different countries. How to write a contract that will have legal weight if we end up in court for example? He is going to develop a website and I promissed him some equity plus other things, so I need to write some contract we will both sign so I am covered too if he for example will decide to keep my website after or so.....Can this be done? Thanks

You'd need to contact your lawyer, get them to write up an initial agreement and then send your partner a copy by the mail for them, to sign in.

Either party can provide the contract but generally you have something slightly more in your favour if you get it written rather than signing what he provides.

If you get the document drafted then you need to ensure that your lawyer has international law experience and preferably explicitly for the country they are in. The lawyer should also be able to provide guidance on how enforceable to contract would be if they breached the terms.

Not sure what you define as "being covered" nor which countries are involved to say if something is doable.
