How to weed out low paying ads?

Just wondering if anyone can share some information on how to weed out low paying ads.

How do you actually identify what ads are low paying?

Its more about your niche than anything. If you have low paying ads, you will probably continue to have low paying ads because of your niche that you chose.

 

It's all about your niche like VerizonGo said. The more popular a niche is, the more high paying ads it has.

 

I know the general value of a click is based on your niche but I have seen so many people advise to block out low paying clicks. Just not sure how you identify them!

 

My recommendation is to make more sites or blogs of different topics and subjects and see (after a few month or so.. but not less than 1 month) which topic earns you the most. Try to spend about the same time into every site or blog you own. Just my opinion if you want to increase earnings.

 

I have heard this too. But have not seen anyone really sharing information on doing this.

 

Isn't it all about traffic though? The more traffic you receive, the better advertisers your site will receive, right?

 

the advertisers you get are largely dependant on the niche, but remember that adwords advertisers can block your site if it doesn't convert into sales for them... that's one reason why scammers have low epc.

There has been posts on how to bock mfa'ers but I havent found any saying how to identify them!

also, block any url that starts with "about" "all" "my" "best" "top" "virtual" "www-" and maybe even ebay.com

when it comes to really i.d.'ing 'em, you need some good channel data that will reveal what ad block those crappy one cent clicks are on, and also what general content area they are on, if your channels are set up correctly... how well it works would depend on your site design, blog/web 2.0 sites are tough to drill down on with channels, because the ad code is inserted automatically on every single page.

check your adsense stats to see what percentage of your total ads are site-targeted, those things can pay really poorly sometimes because they are cpm.

 

I've heard different stories about the ebay ads.

Some think that ebay has low paying ads because they have a deal with Google. Others think ebay ads pay well because they're a bit corporate site.

 

ebay has the biggest keyword library in all of adwords... maybe i'll take 'em out of the filter and see if things have improved? those new ads with real-time pricing are interesting.

Basically its an attempt to block MFA websites that advertise on your website. Just look at ad URL type it into your browser and you should be able to recognize templated/generic looking websites just made for adsense.

 

Type the URL into your browser and see if they offer foolish spammy content. If they do, block them.

 

it takes time .. but you can always just put 1 ad per page, the same advertiser should always show up, and after several clicks get an average ... if you like it keep it in mind if not block it and start again ...

 

I think you should focus more into niche. Get the higher niche if possible. Blocking the ads from showing at your side may not be a good solution because you are not only focusing with one site. Create more sites and earn more money from different sites.
