It submits up to 2500 different "whois" type websites. You would not use this for backlinking though, strictly getting your site indexed in google. Did this a few months ago, and the site is still in Google so it might be worthwhile to try out.

Google will find your site if you submit it to them through http://www.google.com/webmasters. Your site will then be added to their index.

To check if your site is currently included in Google's index, do a site: search for your site's URL. Type in "site:yourwebsite.com" (without the quotation marks) in Google and the sites with that URL will be displayed on the search results.

If you go to Google webmaster tools, you can submit your sitemap so that Google will crawl your site. The XML sitemap will help search engines crawl and index your site faster.

It can take a couple of days to get your site listed by Google but you could follow the steps on How to Get your Website Indexed to get your site indexed faster.

 

Using blogger is great but make sure to put the links into articles. Social bookmarking can help index your link faster.

 

Make sure you have a site map and then submit it to google. The other things you can do Is submit it to digg and other social bookmarking sites. Honestly... I don't you don't really have to submit it to google if you are using social bookmarks.
