How to verify Google WebMaster Tools

    Hello,

    I tried to verify Google WebMaster Tools but I cant do it. I tried all ways and it`s impossible...Can anyone tell me where is problem and there is some secret how to do it.

    I think Google would give you two options. The first one is to upload a txt file on your server containing a code or you can put a simple meta tag given by Google after the <head>. After putting the code, save it. And click verify on google webmaster tool. I choose the option of adding a meta tag and it works.

    I tried this is META Tag and it doesn`t work, but I tried with HTML no with TXT file...you said TXT file? What to do then?

    are you putting the meta tag on your homepage at the root of your site? Same question with the html file.

    Are you talking about the html file the you must submit to Google with no body? Did you save it as .html?
