Read a post about using Gmail account as Personal File Server - Gmail Account as Personal File Server Let me know what you think about this!
not a bad trick... the only problem i have is: "As far as we know this isn’t illegal (we actually read the EULA for you — that’s love, people), but we can’t guarantee Google won’t go all RIAA on us and crack down on this app, either, so use at your own risk." i wouldn't risk putting my stuff there - just in case everything gets wiped out when google cracks down on it. but i admit that it's an ingenious trick - if it works, that is...
It does seem to be a solution to a problem I have sharing files between my office XP and the one at home. I used to have to put the files up on the web server and then download them. This is much simpler.
Most people here are webmasters why not use (s)ftp? This seems like a good novelty, but that's all it is (in my opinion).
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/E-mail/Mail-Utilities/GMail-Drive-shell-extension.shtml Easy to install and use. I just tested it a bit and set up a label so all the files to into a label called GmailFS. You can also delete the files from the virtual drive on your hard disk and they are removed from your gmail account instantly. Very cool stuff!

I agree but many times I have files I'm working with on a windoze machine which is not a server and no way to access those files from another location. This method may save may step or 2..
Maverick..sorry but if you read my sig, I am the founder of Scam Watch-calling out internet scams where ever they appear. Your link 'get paid to take surveys' is highly suspect. I have done research and you would have better luck hitting up a hobo up for change than getting paid to take surveys. For more info on scams, go to GPTboycott.com Therefore, i am going to ask you nicely at first to please remove the link. Thank you
Is it so paymentapp.... thanks for the info! I would remove it up... keep giving me such important information
