How to use these backlinks?

Recently, i have registered a dropped domain. And i found that it has two PR backlinks but these links dont point to the main domain(example.com) but they point to the folder(example.com/mysite).

Is there any way to force these backlinks to point to main domain(example.com) rather than the folder(example.com/mysite).

I dont want to create any folder or subdomain. It is useless for me.

    thnx

Fairly obvious really. If the pages the backlinks are referencing no longer exist you have to re-direct them to something relevant that does actually exist ;)

    hope that helps,

It may not be possible for your to change the links as they are owned by other person. Ask them to change the link. If this is not possible set a 301 redirect from example.com/mysite to example.com

This will ensure you get the juice as usual.

Both are right. 301 redirect will do it - but I would go with the changing the backlink if you can before

You may try to add a 301 redirect code in the .htaccess file.
