I've earlier used wordpress.com blog. Regularly refreshed with content, but one day i'm shocked to see that my blog has been suspended. So can i use my own site sub-domain as a blog? Then how should i install the wordpress blog in to that. I'm a noob to this hosting, installations. Please do suggest me the exact procedure.

    Thanx in advance.

If your own hosting is Cpanel/Fantastico based, you can install a WordPress blog into a subdomain. Its just a 2-click process. All you have to do is goto Cpanel and create a subdomain.
Then, goto fantastico, select the subdomain from the dropdown list, fill in the admin details and install it.

If you don't have a Cpanel hosting, you can download Wordpress 2.2 (latest) from www.wordpress.org and upload it to your subdomain and manually install it by following the installation procedures in the ReadMe

    Thanks

Fantastico makes it really easy to install wordpress...but even a manual install takes under 30 minutes, even for noobs.

So check to see if your hosting has a 2click install with fantastico first off

Actually, even 30 minutes is too much. Just upload a .gz file to the server and extract it there, and install. This is not as simple as Fantastico, but sure is easy.

Thanx for the suggestions. Using Fantastico I tried it. But there was a small mistake, however after that i could do it manually. The main problem is now with wordpress themes. I'm unable to find a good template which is both FREE and qualitative. Any help would be appreciated.
