Hi, I downloaded digg3 column for my wordpress blog. Then I uploaded simple tagging in plugin directory. Nothing happened, I can't see any tags on my posts, though I had added them in the tag box after writing my post. 1. I used the jerome keywords plugin earlier, but didn't know what to do so deleted it and uploaded simple tagging. 2. My posts are showing filed under ( category names) sans tagged under. 3. I copy pasted a code that I got from http://lancelhoff.com/2007/09/26/tag-options-for-wordpress-23 and the posts showed the tags as I had added them. But then I saw that The post page was not showing right side bar ( it was being displayed on home page though). 4. I deleted the theme, reinstalled it and this time Now both the sidebars are there as they should be, but tags are gone as I didn't paste the code from the site. 5. I tried using [tag] code within the post. Now the tags show on my admin tag page,( not on the posts on the blog though), but when I click at the tags, I am shown the message " you are looking for something that isn't there". So what should I do with this simple tagging plugin. Thanks BTW my blog is http://writingorbit.com
Ok so I got what I wanted, this is the simple tag plugin, very easy to understand and operate. For all the newbies like me , the plugin can be downloaded from here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-tags/installation/ I am very happy with the result. All my previous posts are now showing the tags which I had added, you have to turn this option on. go to setting>simple tags>tags for current posts>automatically displays tags list into post content....here I have selected the option, all, I hope it helps others. I was so desperate to get tags on my posts.
Thanks. I already said in the post above you that I have installed the simple tag plugin, and it is really great.
