I would like to get a software to assist me in my search engine optimization efforts. Recently I read up about scrapebox and the reviews were usually good, although some search engine Nazis didn't like it that much and blog owners suspected it was being used for spam them. So I wonder how one uses this software properly and with benefits for search engine optimization. What are the capabilities and what procedures can one run to use them for optimum benefits? Can I use it for blog comments only or for getting backlinks on directories, SB, forums and other sites as well?
Is anyone of the experienced users going to tell us how it works? How would it compare with i.e. ibusinesspromoter or other tools?
sandbox or google dance? It sometimes happens that a site goed down, just before it get's different PR and then goes up again. I got sites from time to time in the sandbox as well, without excessive links appearing. In my personal opinion I'd use it on my second tier blogs.
SB can be dangerous if not used right. Google likes natural looking traffic and backlinks, so using something like SB to blast things, can put you in the sandbox quickly. Slow and moderate is the key.
Scrapebox can do so many things...and blog commenting is one. For me, I use it most for scrapping...that is where the name comes from SCRAPEbox. Once you get the hang of it, you will discover with the right footprints you can find more forums, blogs, websites than you ever imagined you could use! My advice to anyone thinking of Scrapebox is to visit the Scrapebox Youtube channel and see for yourself a small glimpse of what this fantastic program is capable of!
It's just another spamming tool like xrummer and as I blogger and marketer I'd advise people to stay away from it. I get lots of blog comments done with scrapebox but they have no chance of being approved. Besides that, once SE's realise you use it they will ban your site. Just check google section and see how many people compain about being banned or penalised by google.
I think there are risks involved using programs like this. With other words, there are wrong ways to use them. The question is, what the right way would be. OK, that explains it a bit. But not anyone wants to watch these videos. You say blog commenting is one thing one can do with it. Scrapping another, what do you mean by that by the way? Yes, and what other things in terms of SEO can one do with the software.
Explain how this can be dangerous as opposed to useless? According to some only onsite black hat SEO can get you in the sandbox.
Can get you banned from Akismet too! I have seen others use it for the initial stages of keyword research & a footprint search tool.
ScrapeBox is great for finding high PR blog posts to manually post on. Although this is still somewhat of a spam approach, so is much of backlink generation...
What difference does it make whether you post manually or automatically? Guess its rather repetetiveness and quantity that matter.
Automatically does not give you the option to write a comment specific to the actual post, which defeats the purpose of the commenting system.
Which is an issue that can easily be overcome. There is directory submission software that allows you to shuffle titles and description. An update of scrapebox (or any other software of the kind) should be able to do the same.
Almost all kinds of link buildings is blackhat according to google. We shouldn't try to build links, in an ideal world links should come naturally. The main objective of scrapebox is to auto comment on Wordpress and blogengine blogs. Although it does its job well, I find that links from blog comments dont help in rankings so there is little point in blog commenting for purely SEO purposes. I use Scrapebox for finding sites with a particular signature , trimming urls to their root domains, getting PR of several URLs and other similar stuff that it is capable of. If you really need an advanced bot for complex jobs, you will need to create one using softwares like ubot.
While even an SEO effort shows something to google over none. Blog commenting becomes marginal to useless for the simple reason that if you can get through with that many others will to that way eroding the power of any links. What I would be interested in would be: * profile pages (forums, social bookmarking, etc) * unique pages with my desired link (i.e. directory entries) * deeplinks inserted into the text of unique articles. higher page PR is of course desirable. Tell me more about it.
