I've finally taken the material I put into the threads I wrote titled "Easy Deep Linking with RSS Feeds", and put it into a static page on Squidoo: Easy Deep Linking with RSS Feeds. This explains how you can use your RSS Feeds to automatically generate relevant backlinks to your site from RSS Syndication services. Let me know if you have any questions, or if there's anything missing. Cheers, Cryo.
Hi, Nice lens, I have been considering using RSS feeds but have no experience of them very but that is useful info you provided. How would you go about displaying a feed on your own website? For example to display constantly updating news stories relevant to your content. I have seen that there are sites that create the xml file of your desired topics, but I am unsure how you would go about using it in a web page. I would assume you would need a script of some kind?? Would be very interested to hear you views/experience of this.
I've never done it myself, but I've heard that Magpie is a very good RSS parser for PHP (Open Source). I'm sure a Google can find you a whole bunch of other RSS scripts... Cryo.
I have updated my page on getting links using RSS feeds - these syndication services will republish your RSS feeds, and generate free backlinks to your blogs. Cryo.
Good resource... Thanks much. I particularly like the dated updates. I've often wondered if I should build a network of 50 rss sites like those. I would imagine that people would pay to submit to it...
