    As we are aware about podcasting i will tell you we can use podcastng to deliver material to students, as lessons or supplementary material. Some students
    may be better able to absorb information from an audio file than from text, depending on their reading level.

    Find a podcast that you like. One of the main sites is http://www.podcastalley.com. You can select by topic, etc. Note their feed link.

    Use a downloading program such as Juice (it's free!).

    Tell the downloader to get your podcast. On the subscriptions Tab, click the green " " symbol. Another window will open, and it will prompt you for the URL of the podcast. The URL usually ends in .xml. It's best if you cut and paste so there is no error.

    Click the button on the far left that looks like two arrows spiraling into each other. This will tell the client to check the feed for new podcasts. The podcasts will be stored in your "\My Documents\My Received Podcasts" directory.

    Every mp3 player is compatible with a podcast. Most mp3 players will act like a flash drive; aka - you plug it in via a USB cable, and open it in your "My Computer" icon like a normal drive. From there, you may drag 'n drop your podcasts into your player. For players with proprietary software, consult your manual. iPods won't generally act like a flash drive, use iPod software to transfer files (iTunes, Songbird, Floola, etc.).

    About two months ago, I started doing video blogs, just to see what all the ruckus was about. Turns out, our blog traffic quadruples when we post a video. So I stopped being cynical and began podcasting, too.
