how to use own domain in name server if i use shared hosting

    i am using shared hosting in dreamhost


    my domain is : domain.com

    my name server now in whois is :
    Name Server: NS1.DREAMHOST.COM
    Name Server: NS2.DREAMHOST.COM
    Name Server: NS3.DREAMHOST.COM



    can i use my own domain in nameserver? if that so what facilities or feature to do that?

    is ok if i need to pay for few bucks for it

    Unless they have changed Dreamhost does not offer private nameservers.

    If you go with a host that offers private nameservers you NS would be ns1.yourdomain.xxx

    It is pretty much impossible to have private nameservers on shared hosting environment!

    No. Its impossible. You can do that by child nameservers. But unl;ess your web host directs those to your server, its impossible to use private nameservers.
