Hi, I'm newbie at myspace. I signed up my account and started to learn but there're too many in menu and I don't know where to start from.

    1. How to add friend?
    2. How to post and make them know? Which thing I should post?
    3. How to use them drive traffic to my site? :)D my site is not MFA for sure, I just need people to awareness of my site)

If you've sources doc, please link them and I'll take a read myself. I tried to search in this forums but I found many threads and seems not related to this.

    cheers,
    sxperm

    1. To add a friend, click "add to friends" on their profile. That link is inside of a small box that says "contacting xxxxxxxxx" below their default pic (on the left hand side, unless some made their layout the oppsite direction). It will ask "are you sure you want to add xxxxxx as a friend?" then you click yes. It will then send an alert via email letting them know about the friend request. They can accept or deny from there.

    2. You don't need to post to let them know because they get an alert, but if you'd like, you can send them a message (in the same "contacting" box, "send message" appears right above "add to friends"). You can tell them something like "hey I liked your profile. I sent you a friend request". This of course is optional. The myspace nicety after someone approves your friend request is to leave a comment saying "thanks for the add". That is also optional, depending on how much time you want to spend doing that.

    3. To drive traffic to your site, you'll need a good amount of friends. To let people know about your site, you just post a bulletin with whatever description of your site that you choose and link it. Bulletins are seen by everyone on your friend list. On your homepage, in your mail center, click "post bulletin".

Be sure not to exceed 500 friend reqeusts a day. That's part of myspace TOS. With new accounts it's not recommended to request massive amounts of friends at once. Start a little slow, then after the account has matured for a few weeks, then it should be okay to request about 350 a day. It's good to play it safe and stay below the daily limit. New accounts on myspaces new servers have a tendency to freeze or lock up if you slam it's bandwidth too much shortly after signing up. The word has it that they set it up that way to crack down on spam accounts (and you'll probably see plenty of those, they usually try to sell webcam membership).

    Hope that helps :)
