How to use My Space Effectively for marketing ?

    I know My Space is used by many to market their websites. Can any one please provide some info on how to use My Space most effectively to market another website ? What are the things to do ? and How ?

    To etechsupport: a person looking for website marketing strtegy is presumably aware of google and its use, so if you have any actual information to share on the topic rather than putting ina google URL that is appreciated.

    To sbongo: Thanks. I have also heard of using the bulletin, comments and messages. Probably bulletins are the most effective ones. But i dont have much clue how to use them.

    I have also heard of MY Space Trains and whore chains - no idea what they are and how to use them..

    anyone who can give more details..

    I doubt the bulletins are the best of these options i have said.I have done some testing and i found that comments are the best because they give constant flow of unique vistors each day:)

    Set up an account that fits your marketing ideas. Make it fun or informative and fitting to again - your marketing ideas / your company style. Have it be active in forums that are significant to your target audience. Ask to be friends with people, put nice comments on their pages that are both nice to them on a human level / informative as well as contain a link to your site.

    Short version: make your myspace profile a human feeling representative for your (corporate) site. Use the blog for giving more information and send out the content of the blog out as bulletins to your friends.

    The myspace profile could be a product page - or a company page. Whatever fits your needs best.
