hi, suppose i want to rank well for the keywords like india news, latest india news, online india news etc and i m also rank well on these keywords in google for that i have used latest online india news in alt tag of almost all images so is it right keyphrase to target in the alt or could i change the keyphrase in order to rank more higher in Search Engine Thx.
I really don't recommend using the same Alt Text in multiple images. Definately make each one unique, but your on the right track making them short and keyword rich.

Use different keyword phrase in different images. Dont use the same keyword in all images. Google will consider as "Keyword Stuffing", not increased keyword density. Use india news, latest india news, online india news , latest online india news etc seperately of different images. Hope it will help you out ...
use different KW on each images and don't overdo it coz as what they've said, it might be considered as Keyword Stuffing and that will be bad.
