So I got an invite for Google Wave and am wondering how to i use it to market my stock website? Any advice would be helpful.
even i dint know how to use google wave :-( does any one anything in their minds? Help us Thanks Raghav
Google Wave has a lot of innovative features, but here are just a few: - Real-time: In most instances, you can see what someone else is typing, character-by-character. - Embeddability: Waves can be embedded on any blog or website. - Applications and Extensions: Just like a Facebook (Facebook) application or an iGoogle gadget, developers can build their own apps within waves. They can be anything from bots to complex real-time games. - Wiki functionality: Anything written within a Google Wave can be edited by anyone else, because all conversations within the platform are shared. Thus, you can correct information, append information, or add your own commentary within a developing conversation. - Open source: The Google Wave code will be open source, to foster innovation and adoption amongst developers. - Playback: You can playback any part of the wave to see what was said. - Natural language: Google Wave can autocorrect your spelling, even going as far as knowing the difference between similar words, like “been†and “bean.†It can also auto-translate on-the-fly. - Drag-and-drop file sharing: No attachments; just drag your file and drop it inside Google Wave and everyone will have access.
It's hard telling how great of a marketing tool Google Wave can be right now especially since it's in preview right now and not even open to the rest of the public. It's really fascinating to me but I'm not sure how useful it will be for marketing. Maybe time will tell though. While not as extensive, here's another good write up explaining what Google Wave is.
Its very easy man. Its very useful when you have a project running, and to colloborate with your team.
I just signed up as well, not sure how to use it. Thats a nice website you have there Stocks on Wall St
Google Wave is a brilliant collaboration tool. I don't think it has much practical application for marketing websites. Wave is meant to offer an email system if it were invented today and not over 20 years ago.
I think people who use it in this vein will probably see the most benefit from it, but it'll be interesting to see the creative ways people end up using it.
Google Wave will be a great tool to use for groups to work together, but right now it is not much more than a glorified chat area-not a whole lot works there in the preview version-I have a few invites left if anyone wants one--
