how to use google Analytics on my website

hi, i want to use google Analytics on my website, but i see there are two type of tracking code to choose from:
Legacy Tracking Code (urchin.js) and New Tracking Code (ga.js)
which one should i use?

 

ga.js is the latest. go for it

You can use anyone of them.
I use the old.

 

the new code shows results that are more in line with my other tracking programs and I don't have to modify the script on secure (ssl) pages...

 

ga.js is Google Analytics own, earlier urchin was being used by GA now they have their own so go for ga.js which provides modified results.

 

Well......its up to you which on you use .......both are the codes to track your site.

 

I use the old one.

 

There is no problem of using the old one, but it won't be updated in the future anymore, so it's better to switch to the new one.
