How To Use custom field to set featured image

    hello dp member

    i want to use custom filed to set post featured image to be 250*250 in left of post, so when i write article and put link of pic in custom filed it will show in post in left

    how can i set that ,?

    if you have latest wordpress ver., then no need to use custom field.
    their is "Featured Image" widget in "new Post"'s right side Bar.
    or you can use plugin's available at wordpress.org.
