Commission Junction (CJ) is an affiliate marketing platform that requires publishers to have a website or a mobile app to participate in their program. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use CJ without a website or app. When registering for CJ, you are required to provide your website or app information. If you do not have a website, you can create one using platforms such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. Once you have a website or app, you can then apply to join the CJ network. Without a website or app, you will not be able to participate in the program.
You don’t need a traditional website to get rolling with CJ Affiliate. Instead, you can drop in an alternative traffic source. Think your YouTube channel, Insta business page, Medium blog, or even a Linktree-style landing page. Just log into your CJ account, head over to Account → Network Profile → Websites, and paste in your content platform URL. Make sure whatever you're using is live, looks decent, has some solid content on it, and includes those all-important affiliate disclaimers. When you hit the “Promotion Method” section, give a quick rundown of how you promote stuff and who your audience is. Keep it real but clear. CJ actually checks these manually, so the more polished and professional your setup looks, the better your odds of getting the green light. Basically, make it look like you know what you're doing, even if you’re still figuring it out.
