How to use banner ads more effectively?

    While I do lot of keyword targetted campaigns on adwords, I barely do anything with placement ads with banners.

    I wanted to experiment and setup a banner campaign with placement target.

    unfortunately i enedup burning about $300 in one day ;((.

    What is the best way to setup a banner campaign and still get some good CTR.

    any advice

    the word "experiment" is it.
    there's nothing more anyone can tell you. and unfortunately, you, me and pretty much every other advertiser will be burning some hard cash before finding what works best for you.
