How To Use Adwords Effectively

If you ever tried using Adwords, you probably noticed that their advertising rates are very expensive. Paying $.60 or more a click is not reasonable to the average person. The way you get around these high rates is to find A LOT of phrases that people may click in that brings in the same quality traffic. The website I'm trying to promote right now is related to "wholesale" which isn't exactly the cheapest niche in the world to advertise in. However, most of my clicks are under $.20! How did I do it? I used the Adwords Tool to find as many phrases as I could that are related to that subject and bid on all of them. I'm currently bidding on about 1,000 key phrases which is A LOT but were quite easy to find. I have my bidding set to $.20 in my settings so I don't go over that. Make sure you turn off the "Budget Optimer" or you'll end up paying a fortune for each click. I'm also using the "Starter Edition" so it's pretty user friendly.

I've used the adwords keyword generator and found that the available keywords for the .10 cent or 20 cent range are many for some and few for others. I advise to use a keyword generator. There are many free ones online as it seems most every website will host Google Adsense. This is just my opinion. I didn't make much with the Adsense.

The Wordtracker Tool is another good free one. I wish Yahoo's Overture keyword tool was still up and running. Have to work with what you got though.

You can one cent clicks on anything on Google Adwords, by using an image ad, and adding thousands of keywords. Even in only the USA.

The competition is different on image ads or mobile ad types, because some sites only show image ads. With thousands of added keywords, you will find some that have low competition, in an ad type that already has low competition. That's where you get one cent clicks. Anything above one cent is too much for most keywords, then you sort through the thousands you added to find the ones with the best click through rate, which improves your quality score. I don't think you can get lower than one cent clicks, although somebody told me you can get half cent clicks on Facebook Ads. I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Well, then you'd have to split test the different keywords that got you one cent clicks with against each other with conversion tracking, and against your two cent click keywords. If they are all related to things that buyers might be looking at, then clicks should come from people who are interested. If you have a good product, and make the ad a fairly good representation of what people are going to find when they click on it, then it should make sales.
