I downloaded some Wordpress templates which I intend to customize and upload them to my host, but how do I do that:
can I upload directly my wordpress site using Dreamweaver or do I have to do that through Wordpress.org?
    Thank you

You don't use Dreamweaver at all with something like Wordpress. Wordpress is a php script. Do like wisdomtool said and upload the files via FTP.

There are several free FTP software programs out there. I don't use a free one, but that's only because I've been using this same FTP software for many years now. Search Google or better yet del.icio.us for "free ftp" or something like that to see what comes up. If you've already got your own host then you should learn to use an FTP program anyway, as it's far more useful than any web-based upload services your host offers. One thing you can't do is upload it through the Wordpress website, since it doesn't have access to your host server.

Use FileZilla 3.0.6 to upload them. It's free and powerful.
You can't upload your files to wordpress.org.

All the above people are suggesting FTP softwares - depending on the version of DreamWeaver you use, it will have FTP built in.

You just transfer the theme files through any FTP software (the ones suggested above or the one built into Dream Weaver) and then go to your wordpress control panel, select the theme and click activate it.

The above applies if you are on a self-hosted version of wordpress - not if you are hosted on www.wordpress.com - if the latter is the case, let us know.

You should be able to go directly into your file manager on your hosting cpanel and find the content/themes folder and hit upload and find the zip file for the theme you downloaded. Upload the whole file then extract from you file manager.

The wp-admin is where you log into your wordpress to add posts and change options it will be your domain.com/wp-admin and you sign in using the user name and password that you did when you installed wordpress.

Need anymore help, feel free to PM me.

It should be on your cpanel from your hosting company. It will be like yourdomain.com/cpanel and then when you sign in find you file manager.

It has nothing to do with the wordpress websites.
