How to: upload wmv and watch it as flash like youtube

yes its autmoatically just upload the wmv file then you get flash and downloadable wmv at the same time

 

i meant it to be "manually" as sarcasim. There's a special encoder for this.

 

i didnt noticed well i will ask my coder to check this but i know he will ask me to find the code that will convert the files as long as he is also my friend

 

Can't you just link to a separate wmv file for the download? I know it would use more server space, but it would seem like an easy way to do it. Or maybe there is a reason why you don't want to do that.

i honestly wouldnt use coffecup. but theres plenty of free flash players, have you tried google...? or you can just use the embed function in html i guess

 

That's what I thought too. Why go back and forth between file types? Just upload the wmv and store it in yoursite/wmv/file.wmv - then the script loads it from there and stores a fla in yoursite/fla/file.fla

Pretty simple.

 

Just out of curiousity, why wouldn't you use CoffeeCup It makes a .flv file and everything you need automatically. The ease of use, efficiency and quality turn-out is why I recomended it.
