I am trying to upload a 4 MB zip file which is of 10 MB in unzipped size. My host has increaesd the cpanel file size limit from 5MB to 50 MB but stilll I am not able to upload it. After some firefox gives "script stopped responding" popup and when I clicked on "stop", than nothing gets uploaded. when I click on continue, after some time same pop comes... In short nothing gets loaded. I can not use Ftp's as it's blocked in my nerwork and web ftp's are not uploading big file like this What to do ????
I don't understand what you mean by: Your host network? Your ISP? Yor local network? Pretty much for a file that size you are going to have to use FTP.
Hi Guys, I would like to share my two cents for the problem I am facing ...... I am using a LAN service and the Internet Service Provider is allowing FTP and everything required .... on all thier other client PC's ftp is running on them. They said you install this software and it will work but It is not ... even they came some time ago and tried everything but it was not working... WHat can I do now? It is getting serious problems for me as I cannot operate my domain well.
I am under university firewall and only port 8080 is open. I have asked my host to re-confgre cpanel port so I can use via http. I uses it like http://cpanel.example.com I can open my ftp account by http://username: password@example.com but can not upload anything.
Try uploading a PHP script capable to handle large files. Check this out, www.element-it.com/DEMOMULTIPOW.ASPX
Are you using cpanel file manager to upload files ? You can ZIP and upload files, then using file manager unzip and move to required location as needed. If you are using your own PHP script, the upload size is set in php.ini file, that only your host can modify.
