    I want to know what are the files need to upload inorder to run a website. Do I need to publish it first before uploading a website? Thanks.

    You need a homepage, a set of images your site will use, CSS files (separate your css), pages that contains content.

    I don't know if that is the only required things.

    You can pm me for a private chat on yahoo. And ask me whatever you want to do in uploading.

    Upload Files in folder of website which you created offline.
    Select all & transfer them by ftp to host.
    After you have sucessfully uploaded you need to change web.confg file for some setttings.

    Just upload all the files using ftp..
    However if you are using a database, you will also need to create the database in the server
