How to update wordpress post automatically by rss

I often see websites with automatic updated post by rss in wordpress sites. Do you know how to do it ?
by plug-in of other script ?
Appreciate your advice

 

In addition to the above, does anyone know if, with automated rss posting, is it still possible to write your own posts or tweak the rssed posts so the content is more original?

You would use a plugin called "feedwordpress" to have an auto-updating worpdress blog, you may get the plugin at this link, http://projects.radgeek.com/feedwordpress/

You will need to set a cronjob to have it update automatically or else you'll have to do it yourself, for example: http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-content/update-feeds.php which will then update the feed.

Yes, you can write your own posts and edit the syndicated ones as well.
