how to update wordpress 2.5 version?

Hi,

currently my web hosting support fantastico and i installed wordpress, but when i tried to login to my admin are in my wordress it says that that my wordpress is out of date, how to update it? anyone could assist me? and how to install lots of theme? please help me guys, your help is much appreciated.

 

Go to download latest version.
Open it and read the readme file.
Its really straightforward instruction.
upload to your folder and and follow the step..only a few minutes needed.

But I think I've read here that upgrading with fantastico is relatively simple so look into that. I upgrade the old-fashioned way

 

download the script from www.wordpress.org and read the instructions on how to upgrade.

 

ask your webhost to upgrade the Wordpress install in fantastico, then when you go to fantastico in your cpanel it will notify you to upgrade to 2.5. Click on that and it should pretty much be automatic.,

 

yeah i ask to my hosting company to upgrade it coz its 2.3 and i want to use the 2.5 by the way. how about the theme? can anyone help me about this? i want to use a theme. a theme like having a good site. my site is www.onlinemoneytalk.info please help me guys.

 

My version of fantastico has been updated.

Does yours show you an option to upgrade to 2.5 ?

 

Fantastico upgrade is risky. Follow my instructions and you will be fine. Just download the latest version first. Extract it in your pc. Then delete the wp-content folder completely. Zip the remaining contents in a single file (Ctrl A+Zip) Then upload the zipped file in your public html folder. There, delete everything EXCEPT: wp-content (the folder) and wp-config (the file).

After you have deleted it, simply extract the zipped file that you uploaded there.

Voila!
You are done! Cheerios!

What about themes? Just download the themes you like (zip files and upload theme to the wp-content/themes/ folder)

Select them from the design menu.

 

Don't worry about your web host. Just go head and upload the latest version via FTP.
