please how do i upgrade my wordpress from version 2.1 to 2.2 or to the latest available update?...is there a one step button update?...thanks...
Make sure you back up first and disable your plug ins. And there is a good chance your template will not function properly with WP 2.7 moving from an old version of WP.
2.1!?! That was 2 years ago ! LOL, just follow the instructions posted...as was said before, many of your plug ins are now either obsolete, or have been updated a few times since then, so you will have to get the latest version of them or they might break your blog. And check with your theme to make sue it is compatible with the upgrade (support page or authors homepage) many themes didn't make the jump a few upgrades ago. Completely disable your plug ins before you do anything, and you probably have to do a manual upgrade...I don't think any auto upgrade will work for you anyway, I don't think even the plug in is compatible with 2.1 It's pretty painless...there are a few different things in the config.php file, so it's best not to drag that old one over, just keep your info so that you can refer to it after you upgrade the new files. By the way, they are on 2.7.1 now.
