How to transfer wordpress to another hosting?

I think this is the suitable place to ask this.If not please mopve it.

I want to transfer my wordpress blogto another hosting now.

I got all the backups but my previous database name was username_wordpress and now it will be simply localhost.

Now how to change this database.

Please say me detail way as I am newbie php programmer and don't know nicely about wordpress.

change the database in your wp-config.php

Yeah, basically just move all the files over and change your config settings. If you need help with this, I'll do it for you for cheap, PM me.

 

move files,create a new database and add a username to it, make sure you set wpconfig.php with the new database settings, export mysql and import it in the new hosting using phpmyadmin.

As MeetHere said, changing the database name in wp-config.php is the solution in your case.

One of the more general ways how to solve such problems is to use total commander, press ALT + F7 and search in the directory (and subdirectories) where is your script located for the database name. This way you will find all files where is necessary to change the database name.

 

Thanx for everyone who replied.I did it already but my server don't allow pingback for security reasons.So, I got all database backup and will upload and finish everything in very short period time.
