How to transfer traffic of one site to another without sacrificing it ranking?

    Hi All,

    I have a client and he is running two sites of same niche. One is ranking good in search engine. he want to transfer its first sites traffic to second site without sacrificing it ranking of first site.

    I want to know what is the best way to do it.

    that's impossible without blackhat tricks that can get both of the sites banned. a 301 redirect is the standard solution for redirecting, but that will obviously cause the first domain to lose ranking as Matt Cutts did confirm quite a while ago.
