    hello friends,
    i want to transfer money from paypal to india,
    i hv few questions -

    1. can i use xoom.com (can i send money from my paypal acc. to myself by using xoom) ?

    2.how much time paypal cheque takes to reach india ?

    3. is there any digital way to transfer money from paypal to india ?

    pls share ur experience .

    1>Yes u can use XOOM.U can request a cheque or request a direct transfer to ur bank account.

    2>Paypal cheque takes 15-30 days(may b more) depending on ur location.

    3>I know only XOOM,i have also read about remit2india not sure about their service.

    you can use xoom to get your money or you can do another thing that you can put your paypal amount for sale and ask for cash or bank deposit in India, try it on dp and i hope you can get some positive results in it.
    And no harm in trying either.

    Xoom requires a friend in foreign country. Xoom is meant for transfer of funds by NRI. The bestway is getting citibank check from paypal by mail order. You can get the check within 15-20 days of your withrawl.

    already lot of information here which is also helpful for me.I just knew we can use xoom but was not sure.So we can use xoom to transfer money into our account.

    Well i have used XOOM before and i think its the best option available..
    secondly, Paypal check took 40 days to reach to me in Mumbai...

    Or else, try someone here at DP there are many people out here who trade Paypal for INR;)

    Yes one more vote for Xoom, Its best at now. It pays current exchange rate (You will not get current exchange rate while dealing with DP guys) and it take only $4.xx with coupon for any amount of money. Usually we can get money in our bank within 5 days with bank transfer and around 10 days with cheque request.
