How to Transfer a Wordpress Blog

    Hi, I was wondering is the transfer of a blog from one hosting company to another made? Do I need to do something with databases or is it just a matter of moving the files and building another database.

    Pls help me :)

    Well, you'd need to transfer the database as well if you want to retain your posts, etc. I'd just take a full backup (files and database), transfer to the new host and adjust the database config info accordingly in your wp-config.php file.

    Create database on new host. Install the same verion of WP as your current install on the new host. Import all the data to new host. Change nameservers so domain points to new host.
