I am based in India and have an website which is targetted to the United Kingdom audience only but the problem that i cant really keep the accurate track of the Google Rankings. For example, if my website is ranking on the first page of Google.co.uk when accessed from the UK on a given keyword, but is not visible on the Google.co.uk version that i am accessing from the India (may be because of the different datacentre or something similar). Now my question is if there is a solution to the same problem so that i can go in the right direction rather then playing around with the same situation. I hope you all must have gone through the same situation and must have got some solution to it. Looking forward to hear soon. Cheers, Mike...
Hey Mike, i know there is a site somewhere that does exacly what you need. Let me try to find it between 1000's favorites...
if your site is .co.uk based you can use this free service : www.sheerseo.com . Alternately, if you have a google API key there is a keyword position checker on Digital Point (owners of this forum) : DP keyword serps check
Mike, seems i cant find it, but take a closer look at this one: submitedge.com/seo_tools.html There's a huje variety of tools in there. Hope that helps.
sheerseo.com collects google rankings from google.co.uk whenever the site's domain ends with co.uk. Not only that, the results are localized to UK. You probably noticed that when you search google.co.uk from India, you get different results. This is because Google knows where your ip is from and then serves the results according to the country you performed the search from. sheerseo.com solves this problem and shows you the results as if they were performed in the UK. BTW, .com sites are showing google rankings localized to the US. Let me know if this helps, Eyal
Eyal has explained sheerseo - digital point does, yes, but you need a google api key for it and they stopped giving them out a while back.
