How to track keyword conversions

I'm promoting Clickbank products through my website, and direct visitors to it from Adwords. I've been trying to figure out how to track the keywords that ultimately convert to Clickbank sales. Clickbank provides an option to append a tracking code to the affiliate hoplink, but not sure how this can be related to my Adwords campaign. Can anyone help? Thanks!

If you want to know which keyword is converting for you from your adwords campaign, try to get something called Is Xtreme Conversions.

A fellow mate gives you a review about it on his site : http://www.drubee.com/?p=14

    Thanks Mega,

I've had a quick look -it looks like it might well do the job, but there's a lot of blah on the sales page, so I'll have to check it out myself. Will post back up here with my findings.

    Cheers,
    R.

Adwords has free Conversion Tracking feature. Look in Tools of your account.

If you are direct linking, then Clickbank's tracking should be ok...

I'm aware of Adwords Conversion tracking, but don't really see the application here, as I can't put any code on the sales page - I'm working with review pages that link to a 3rd party site. What I need is to be able to see which keywords result in a sale i.e. relate my adwords clicks to Clickbank stats.

Ranarusi - thanks for the tip, although HLOLA seems to be unavailable for sale at the moment while they make some 'tweaks'.

    Cheers for the input guys!

If you are using very less keywords, then create separate adgroup for each keyword and place
    the tid in each ad.

This helps you to write specific ad for each keyword and helps to increase the CTR

    :)
Adwords Conversion tracking - even if you manage to put the code on the page, it is know not to be 100% accurate.

Conversion Tracking tools - most of them are crap and the one that work does not work 100% either.

The best way is to track everything yourself so that you can be 100% sure that everything is accurate - hint hint : adwords let you put an url for each keyword (with tracking id) therefore you can associate a tracking id at keyword level ;) now that you know about it search no google about it..

    cheers

This is possible but does require a little technical expertise. If you are driving PPC traffic to CB affiliate review pages you will need to do the following.

    1. Insert the keyword or a code number for the keyword in your Adwords URLs: http://www.domain.com?source=keyword. The keyword will appear in the URL when users hit your landing page.

    2. You will need a javascript written for your review pages that will append the keyword in the landing page URL to all the hoplinks on your review page as a Clickbank tracking code. You can also use this trick to make the page copy more relevant. Something like "Looking for [keyword]? then you are in the right place"

    3. When users click your hoplinks and make a purchase, you should then have sales by keyword in your ClickBank sales reports.

If this was helpful to anyone send me some rep.

    Thanks

This is what I'm looking for but unfortunately I'm not able to write my own scripts. Do you know of anywhere I can find such code?
