How to track Ad Conversions when the sale is on a subsequent "direct" visit.

Thanks for your help in advance!

I am doing the marketing for an Internet Startup and just learning.

I use Adwords, BSA, and Analytics for my advertising and tracking, respectively.

How can I track ad conversions when the sale is not on the click instance but on a subsequent visit through the bookmark?
Cookies? Tracking URLs? Emails? Polls? Coupon Codes?

I realize that Adwords uses cookies to track conversions for up to 30 days. However, how can I track conversions from a Facebook or BuySellAd advertisement that doesn't offer cookies.

Say the user Clicks on our Company's Ad on a sponsored page using the BSA network, but doesn't complete a sale and instead bookmarks our page.
Then a few days later, uses the bookmark or directly types in our URL and eventually completes a sale on this later visit.

My Understanding is that Google Analytics (using Goal Conversions) will show a 'Visit' from the 'BSA' ad on the first visit. But show the sale (using Goals) as "(direct)" when the consumer uses the bookmark or directly types in the URL.

I would like to more accurately track conversions for all of my Ads. Can someone please offer suggestions on how to track this?

    Thanks,
    Ray
