Hi, If you have a website created already with various products using PayPal cart you need to setup a test product before your site goes online... I created a $1.00 £1.00 product to test my links and to make sure eveything was working fine... Get someone to go on your site and ask them to click on your test product first. Hope this makes sence and helps you out..
Yes, that worked for me too - just set up a $1 product and get someone brother friend etc to buy it - that way you can testthe whole process order sequence, forwarding to download page, and payment. If it works you'll be sorted in minutes and ready for real income Dave

lolz ..when i started, i didn't even set a test product ! I bought my own product worth $15. However it did cost me a paypal fee of around $1. But it was the only foolproof idea came to mind at that time... lolz I think you should do the same if you want to see the mechanism in real time.
When set up my fist store I got me a buddy to help me and created a product for like 0.10$ he could buy to make sure everything was working

Hi, I think the official way of test Paypal is through their sandbox. It allows you to do everything the live version does without making any actual payments. Google "paypal sandbox"
You can register a paypal sandbox or establish a products and then find another paypal to do a real transaction.
