How to test an Affiliate Programs/Network

My question is, how much time you should give to a campaign or program to know that it will perform well for you.

How you guys decide to move on to a next program or Affiliate network???

Currently I was using AdBrite on my site. It’s been more than 2 weeks with them. So far, I got nothing. Now, should I look for an other advertising network or I should give more time to AdBrite??

    Fastian,

That is entirely up to you. I tried Adbrite for 3 months before moving on...i think that you have to base it on a good amount of traffic and visitors...

why not try to get another advertising network for another two weeks and then compare your previous two weeks with the next two weeks?

You should try to find what converts better for the sites you have... Build the sites first, get the traffic and then search for what converts ... Just my opinion :) Good luck

I usually do test periods of 2 days before I move on. I just want to see potential and see how I can modify my site to fit in with the affiliate network's advertisement methods.

I think 15 days to one month is fair time. Adbrite works better for high traffic sites.

adBrite didn;t worked for me either. I switched to adsense and I got 7$ for the first day ;) So, for younger/new sites I think you need 1-3 month to build traffic and see how well is doing...

Depends on how much traffic you get. If you are getting 15,000 visitors/day, then you can get a decent feel for how a program will work after a few days of tinkering with placements. If you get 100 visitors/day, then you might want to let the program run for a few weeks.

Well it depends on your traffic stats aswell . Give adbrite some more time like 2 weeks and in the meantime search for another good one to switch on if the prev one fails to serve the purpose . Good Luck ..!!

Well, my traffic is around 1K+ these days.
I know its nothing as compare to many other sites, but I am happy with it as so far, I haven’t done any proper advertisement or promotion for my site.

Most of the traffic is coming from Google & other search engines plus few users from my links on other sites.

I will be giving other Networks a try now. I think I can compare 15 days report on each of them. AdSense will always be there with me, even if it has dropped the earning ratio.

Depends on how much traffic you're sending. You should be able to decide a sponsor within a few days.
